Job Description
Adtran, a leading global provider of open, disaggregated networking and communications solutions, has announced its 2026 Off-Campus Recruitment Drive. Adtran is inviting online applications for the role of Software Engineer at its technology development facility in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. Candidates holding B.E / B.Tech / B.Sc / BCA degrees in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related streams with 0 to 2 years of experience (including freshers) are eligible to apply online as soon as possible.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Application Development: Develop and maintain scalable server-side Java applications for cloud-based network management software.
- Architecture Design: Architect multi-tenant backend solutions and high-throughput REST API endpoints.
- Cloud Deployment: Build and deploy cloud-native containers using Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes frameworks.
- Database Management: Work with MySQL and MongoDB databases to design efficient data storage models in Linux environments.
- Network Technologies: Contribute to network device automation and virtualization technologies (including Adva network equipment).
- Agile Participation: Actively participate in Agile sprint planning, daily standups, and peer code reviews.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline (B.E, B.Tech, B.Sc, or BCA).
Experience: 0 to 2 years of software engineering experience. High-potential freshers with solid Java and cloud fundamentals are encouraged to apply.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Core Java development, including Multithreading, Collections Framework, Servlets, and JDBC
- Solid foundation in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) design and Distributed Systems principles
- Practical experience or knowledge of REST APIs, Microsoft Azure, Docker containers, and Kubernetes orchestrations
- Hands-on exposure to relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL, MongoDB) and proficiency in Linux development environments
- Understanding of core networking concepts and protocols, along with exposure to Agile software development methodologies and AI-assisted coding tools
Competencies:
- Knowledge of additional programming languages such as Scala or Python (Preferred)
- Familiarity with Network Function Virtualization (NFV) and OpenStack cloud environments (Preferred)
- Ability to deliver quality code contributions to product roadmaps with minimal supervision (Preferred)
