Job Description
Agoda, a leading global digital travel platform under the umbrella of Booking Holdings (NASDAQ: BKNG), has officially launched its 2026 off-campus recruitment drive for the position of Software Developer. This specialized, fast-paced opportunity is structured as a 6-month contract based in Agoda's technology and product office in Gurugram, India. The position is open to fresh engineering graduates and early-career software developers with less than two years of experience. Selected engineers will join highly collaborative, agile squads to design and develop core consumer-facing interfaces and backend business logic handling millions of travel transactions daily.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Feature Development: Collaborating with product owners, UI designers, and lead developers to code responsive, state-managed web applications and robust microservices.
- Debugging & Support: Writing test cases, troubleshooting codebase execution paths, tracking down runtime errors, and refactoring legacy segments to boost execution speed.
- Data-Driven Engineering: Utilizing A/B testing methodologies and live customer usage metrics to guide product enhancement and feature releases.
- Enterprise Logging & Analytics: Setting up real-time analytics, instrumentation logs, and service health reports using technologies like Hadoop, Grafana, and related tracking suites.
- Continuous Delivery: Participating in active agile sprint ceremonies, engaging in structured peer code reviews, and maintaining clean code standards in line with SOLID architecture patterns.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in any stream.
Experience: This pathway is designed strictly for entry-level developers. Candidates should either be fresh graduates or have less than two years of active industry experience.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Strong foundational understanding of core data structures, basic computing algorithms, and clear analytical problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with building web user interfaces utilizing React.js, Redux, and TypeScript. Basic knowledge or coding skills in modern backend languages, including C#, Scala, Kotlin, Java, or Python.
- Conceptual understanding of basic data persistence architectures (such as relational RDBMS or NoSQL schemas), and exposure to modern automated CI/CD practices.
Competencies:
