Job Description

As an AI Developer at Experian, you will join the CrossCore Platform team and contribute to the development of AI-powered solutions, intelligent automation, and scalable Generative AI platforms. The position combines traditional software engineering with modern AI development. Candidates are expected to have strong coding skills in Java and Python while developing an understanding of Generative AI, Large Language Models, AI orchestration frameworks, prompt engineering, and AI application development. The role also involves building software using modern engineering practices. You may work with REST APIs, microservices, AWS, CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps, static code analysis, security scanning, and cloud-native technologies. The position is therefore suited to software engineers who want to transition from conventional application development into AI engineering while retaining strong software engineering fundamentals.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Software Development: Develop high-quality software as part of an Agile engineering team.
• AI/Automation Development: Build AI-powered solutions and intelligent automation capabilities. Contribute to scalable Generative AI platforms.
• Coding & Translation: Develop software using Java and Python. Translate technical and business requirements into clean, scalable, and low-defect code.
• Collaboration: Work with both traditional software development and AI-focused tooling and products. Collaborate with engineering teams to design, test, and release software.
• API & Microservices: Develop and integrate REST APIs and microservices.
• Machine Learning: Apply machine learning and Generative AI concepts to application development.
• AI Orchestration: Contribute to AI orchestration and LLM-powered application development.
• CI/CD & DevSecOps: Support continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous improvement practices. Integrate DevSecOps practices into the software development lifecycle.
• Security: Use static code analysis and security scanning tools to improve software security.
• Documentation: Maintain clear documentation for code, development processes, and system architecture.
• Teamwork: Collaborate with other teams to deliver reliable and maintainable software. Work in an Agile environment following Scrum or Kanban practices.

Skills and Eligibility Criteria

Educational Background: B.Sc Computer Science, MCA, B.Tech in Engineering, or a higher relevant qualification. Eligible Degrees: B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc/MCA/M.E/M.Tech/M.Sc.

Experience: 1–4 years of hands-on software development experience.

Mandatory Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Java and Python.
• Familiarity with Generative AI, Large Language Models, and AI orchestration frameworks.
• Understanding of machine learning, model evaluation, prompt engineering, and AI application development.
• Familiarity with AWS and cloud technologies.
• Experience with REST APIs, microservices, and software engineering best practices.
• Familiarity with Python/Scala, Spark, or other big data frameworks is useful.
• Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design and Event-Driven Architecture is beneficial.
• Familiarity with Kafka, EventBridge, Kinesis, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ is useful.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK is beneficial.
• Familiarity with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
• Exposure to static code analysis and vulnerability management.

Competencies:

• Experience working in Scrum or Kanban environments.
