Job Description
For the Altera Recruitment 2026 drive, the team is looking for an Associate System Engineer to support the operations and administration of their IT infrastructure monitoring platform, LogicMonitor. The role heavily involves monitoring infrastructure health, performing routine operational tasks, and ensuring the optimal performance of critical monitoring systems. You will work closely with cross-functional infrastructure, application, and network teams to guarantee robust monitoring coverage, swift incident response, and high operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will use their analytical skills to extract and present monitoring data for rigorous compliance reporting.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Monitoring & Operations: Monitor infrastructure health and alerts using LogicMonitor. Investigate alerts and perform initial troubleshooting for various infrastructure issues.
- Task Execution: Perform routine operational tasks including alert tuning, device onboarding, and data source validation.
- Infrastructure Support: Troubleshoot issues related to system performance, connectivity, and monitoring alerts across Windows servers, network devices, and Azure cloud resources.
- Audit & Reporting: Support internal and external audit requirements using monitoring data. Extract, analyze, and present this data for strict compliance reporting.
- Documentation: Maintain operational runbooks, evidence required for audits, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve monitoring coverage, reduce alert noise, and enhance overall operational efficiency.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Must hold a B.E or B.Tech degree.
Experience: Freshers as well as candidates with prior relevant experience are eligible to apply.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Strong foundational knowledge of Windows systems and core networking concepts.
- Basic navigation and operational knowledge of Microsoft Azure.
- Hands-on experience in T-SQL for data extraction and analysis.
Competencies:
- Prior experience with LogicMonitor (LM), Grafana, or any other enterprise IT monitoring tools is highly advantageous.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities, combined with excellent communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
