Job Description
As an Associate in the Quality Services team, your primary focus will be manual test execution. You will follow documented task instructions to verify software builds on the Kindle platform and other Kindle software products. The role requires a keen eye for detail to perform Regression Testing, ensuring new code changes haven't broken existing features. You will use internal software tools to capture data, report bugs accurately, and communicate failures to engineering teams.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Test Execution: Execute pre-defined test cases for software builds on Kindle and related platforms.
- Defect Reporting: Identify, record, and report software bugs with high accuracy and detail.
- Regression Testing: Perform repetitive manual testing and regression exercises to qualify new releases.
- Process Adherence: Adhere to strict testing procedures and guidelines for every new software build.
- Tool Usage: Use specialized software tools for daily data capture and result logging.
- Reporting & Escalation: Provide individual status reports and escalate critical failures to stakeholders.
- Productivity & Quality: Meet daily testing targets while maintaining high-quality output.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (Any Degree).
Experience: Freshers.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Basic understanding of QA methodology and manual testing tools.
- Preferred: Familiarity with software testing concepts and the Kindle/Alexa ecosystem.
Competencies:
- Ability to complete assigned tasks accurately and promptly (Attention to Detail).
- Good written and verbal communication skills for bug reporting.
- Comfortable with repetitive tasks and working under defined processes.
