Job Description
For the Amazon Recruitment 2026 drive, the team is looking for Quality Assurance Engineers who thrive on testing complex systems under high loads. At Amazon, QAEs are not pure black-box testers. You are expected to understand software internals, debug problems using log files, and write automated tests using scripting tools. You will be an individual contributor capable of taking tasks from start to completion. You will drive test strategy, execute test cases, and contribute to code-level unit tests using Java and automation frameworks.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Test Planning: Designing and planning test conditions, test scripts, and test data sets to ensure adequate coverage.
- Automation: Writing clean scripts/code quickly (preferably in Java) and developing automation frameworks.
- Execution: Testing applications at the user level and code level, both manually and with automated tools (Selenium/SOAPUI).
- Debugging: Understanding software internals to debug issues using log files and reporting risks effectively.
- Collaboration: Communicating cross-functionally with management and developers in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Strategy: Driving the test case sign-off process with stakeholders and contributing to unit tests.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent (B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc).
Experience: 1+ years of Quality Assurance Engineering experience.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Experience in Manual Testing and Automation Testing.
- Proficiency in UI and API Automation (Selenium, SOAPUI).
- Strong coding skills, preferably in Java.
- Experience in test planning, strategy, and execution for complex systems.
Competencies:
- Experience with Mobile testing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
