Job Description
For the Amazon Recruitment 2026 drive, the Smart Commerce team is looking for an entrepreneurial-minded SDE-1. You will be part of a new team being built from the ground up, working primarily on Smartbiz. The ideal candidate is comfortable "thinking big" while also "diving deep." You will work with product managers to develop strategies, collaborate with senior engineers on technical design, and instill best practices for software development to deliver high-quality work on tight schedules.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Product Development: Working closely with senior engineers to develop the best technical design and approach for new products.
- Strategy: Collaborating with product managers to develop a roadmap that helps sellers succeed.
- Best Practices: Instilling best practices for software development, documentation, and operational excellence.
- Project Management: Prioritization, planning of features, and tracking external commitments.
- Operations: Monitoring and operating production services to ensure high availability.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
Experience: 1+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Java, C++, C#, etc.).
- Strong understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms.
- Knowledge of software engineering best practices.
Competencies:
- Experience in building complex software systems and working in an agile environment.
