This corporate opening is positioned under the Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) Inventory Management division based out of Karnataka (Bengaluru). Candidates possessing more than 1 year of professional, non-internship software programming experience and a strong background in building highly distributed systems are eligible to apply. The team's core charter is to empower global merchants and enterprise selling partners to optimally plan, track, and process their inventory assets inside Amazon's worldwide fulfillment and warehousing infrastructure. By engineered mitigation of understock and overstock anomalies, the team creates detailed data visibility pipelines, performance tracking metrics, automated planning services, and intelligent recommendation architectures to satisfy multi-channel demand frameworks at scale.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Collaboration: Collaborate actively alongside experienced, cross-disciplinary Amazon engineers to conceive, specify, design, and launch business-critical web products.
- Architecture & Deployment: Architect, build, and deploy high-performance backend software services operating across massively distributed cloud computing clusters.
- Optimization: Create optimization routines to manage large-scale statistical predictions on distributed environments with incredible throughput, low latency, and massive speed parameters.
- Storage Engineering: Engineer distributed storage components, relational/non-relational indexes, and optimized query pipelines designed to be highly scalable, fault-tolerant, and exceptionally cost-effective.
- Problem Solving: Refine loosely defined structural problems or ambiguous operational needs into concrete, maintainable, and testable source code solutions.
- Agile Development: Operate smoothly within an Agile/Scrum development life cycle to iteratively ship stable, production-ready software updates.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent technical or quantitative discipline.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of non-internship, full-time professional experience operating within an enterprise software development environment.
