Job Description
As part of the AMD Recruitment 2026 drive, you will join an agile, geographically distributed team dedicated to developing heterogeneous software for computer vision, image, and video processing. You will play a crucial role in enhancing the AMD Radeon Open Ecosystem (ROCm), extracting the absolute best performance from AMD hardware. This role is designed for critical thinkers and detail-oriented Freshers who are passionate about building high-performance, robust software. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate new software features, debug complex issues across multiple layers of the stack, and apply advanced software engineering methodologies to AI tools.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Software Optimization: Design, develop, and meticulously optimize GPU/CPU software for computer vision, image, and video processing workloads.
- Feature Validation: Validate and test new software features thoroughly before deploying them to customers.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to deliver robust software that maximizes AMD hardware performance.
- Issue Resolution: Debug and resolve complex software issues operating across multiple layers of the technology stack.
- Methodology Application: Apply modern software engineering methodologies and AI tools to ensure code remains robust, maintainable, and scalable.
- Relationship Building: Develop technical relationships with peers and work closely with Project Managers to drive project execution.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
Experience: Freshers from the 2024, 2025, and 2026 Batches.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Strong coding skills in C/C++ and Python.
- Experience or academic background in video codecs, image processing, and machine learning frameworks.
- Familiarity with computer vision libraries such as OpenCV, FFMpeg, and OpenVX.
- Experience or keen interest in GPU programming (e.g., HIP, CUDA) and heterogeneous computing platforms like ROCm.
- In-depth knowledge of version control (Git), issue tracking (Jira), debugging, testing, and profiling.
