Job Description

For the Amgen Recruitment 2026 drive, the team is looking for an Associate Software Engineer to assist in designing, developing, and maintaining software applications. This role is unique as it specifically emphasizes "vibe coding" —using AI tools and Large Language Models (LLMs) to accelerate development. You will work on enterprise planning capabilities, integrating with platforms like AWS, Databricks, Salesforce, and Veeva. The role requires a blend of traditional coding skills and a modern approach to software engineering using AI toolsets.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Application Development: Assisting in the design, development, and implementation of software modules using Python or JavaScript.
  • AI Integration: Proactively incorporating AI tools into daily activities and "vibe coding" with LLMs.
  • Prototyping: Turning ideas into working code through simple prototypes and proof-of-concepts.
  • DevOps: Learning to use CI/CD pipelines as part of DevOps practices and assisting in release management.
  • Maintenance: Monitoring application performance, reporting issues, and fixing minor bugs.
  • Collaboration: Working with global, virtual teams and using collaboration platforms like O365 and MS Teams.

Skills and Eligibility Criteria

Educational Background: Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (M.E / M.Tech / M.Sc).

Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience.

Mandatory Technical Skills:

  • Familiarity with at least one programming language (Python, Javascript, or similar).
  • Familiarity with vibe coding using Large Language Models (LLMs).
  • Basic knowledge of Git and Release Management tools.
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Competencies:

  • Knowledge of platforms like SAP, Salesforce, Veeva, or Anaplan.
  • Certifications related to Veeva CRM, Salesforce, or Copado.
  • High degree of initiative, self-motivation, and ability to work with virtual teams.
