Job Description

As an Analyst in EY Assurance, you will support the National ASU Audit Standards and Methodologies team while working with engagement teams and clients. The position combines analytical thinking, data management, technology, communication, and assurance-related activities. The role requires candidates to work collaboratively across multiple client engagements while meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to detail. You may also participate in client discussions to understand business processes and requirements. From a technical perspective, the position has a strong analytics and automation component, where EY is looking for candidates who can work with or are willing to learn tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, SQL, Python, PySpark, AI/ML models, VBA Macros, UiPath, and Power Automate. The role is therefore a potentially good fit for BCA graduates who want to build a career at the intersection of technology, data analytics, automation, and audit.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Client Engagement: Work collaboratively with engagement team members across multiple client assignments.
• Task Management: Take responsibility for assigned tasks and ensure deadlines are met.
• Quality Assurance: Collaborate simultaneously across multiple engagements while maintaining quality.
• Business Understanding: Participate in client discussions to understand business processes and requirements.
• Solution Delivery: Support the delivery of practical and insightful solutions to business and assurance-related problems.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to audit analytics and data management. Explore applications of AI and analytics within assurance and audit-related activities.
• Data & Analytics: Work with data analytics and data management technologies such as Alteryx, Power BI, and SQL.
• Programming & Automation: Use or develop knowledge of Python and PySpark for data analysis and automation. Understand applications of AI/ML models in analytics. Work with automation technologies including Python, VBA Macros, UiPath, and Power Automate.
• Communication: Communicate effectively with team members and clients.
• Problem Solving: Manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail. Apply analytical and strategic thinking to solve problems.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues from diverse technical and professional backgrounds.
• Flexibility: Remain flexible regarding work requirements, including travel and working on weekends or holidays when necessary.

Skills and Eligibility Criteria

Educational Background: Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA).

Experience: 0–1 years.

Mandatory Technical Skills:

• Knowledge of data management and analytics concepts.
• Proficiency or working knowledge of SQL.
• Knowledge of Power BI for data analysis and visualization.
• Familiarity with Alteryx is relevant to the role.
• Knowledge of Python/PySpark is beneficial.
• Understanding of AI/ML models and their applications in analytics is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Python, VBA Macros, UiPath, or Power Automate can be useful.
