Job Description

FIS is hiring for the role of Analyst I, Cybersecurity in Bengaluru. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience can apply for this entry-level cybersecurity position, typically requiring up to three years of relevant experience. Applicants should have knowledge of networking technologies, security technologies, access controls, encryption, data protection, and network design. You will execute security controls, research attempted compromises, maintain security systems, and administer policies to prevent unauthorized access to company information and systems.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Security Controls: Execute security controls designed to prevent unauthorized access to company information and systems.
• Incident Response: Research attempted security compromises and recommend appropriate solutions; Resolve information security issues and follow through until resolution; Provide status reports on security matters and contribute to security risk analysis and response procedures.
• System Maintenance: Maintain security systems and administer policies controlling access to systems; Maintain company firewall systems and use applicable encryption methods.
• Documentation: Create and maintain information security documentation related to assigned work.
• Support: Respond to information security questions and requests using established tools and procedures.
• Implementation: Implement and administer information security controls using software and vendor security systems.
• Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve security workflows and communicate their business impact to management.
• User Management: Work with users to understand security requirements and implement appropriate procedures; Help ensure users understand and follow necessary security procedures.
• Other Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills and Eligibility Criteria

Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.

Experience: Entry-level professional role, typically requires up to three years of relevant experience.

Mandatory Technical Skills:

• General understanding of principles in one or more programming languages.
• Understanding of at least one Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) model.
• Knowledge of network technologies, including protocols, design concepts, and access control.
• Knowledge of security technologies including encryption, data protection, security design, and privileged access.
• Understanding of network design and engineering.
