Job Description

As an Analyst I, Cybersecurity at FIS, you will execute security controls, research attempted security compromises, and recommend solutions. You will maintain security systems, administer access policies, manage firewalls, and apply encryption methods. The role involves creating security documentation, responding to information security requests, resolving issues, and identifying opportunities to improve security workflows, contributing to security risk analysis and response.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Execute security controls designed to prevent unauthorized access to company information and systems.
• Research attempted security compromises and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Maintain security systems and administer policies controlling access to systems.
• Maintain company firewall systems and use applicable encryption methods.
• Create and maintain information security documentation related to assigned work.
• Respond to information security questions and requests using established tools and procedures.
• Resolve information security issues and follow through until resolution.
• Implement and administer information security controls using software and vendor security systems.
• Identify opportunities to improve security workflows and communicate their business impact to management.
• Work with users to understand security requirements and implement appropriate procedures.
• Help ensure users understand and follow necessary security procedures.
• Provide status reports on security matters and contribute to security risk analysis and response procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills and Eligibility Criteria

Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.

Experience: The position is classified as an entry-level professional role and typically requires up to three years of relevant experience.

Mandatory Technical Skills:

• General understanding of principles in one or more programming languages.
• Understanding of at least one Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) model is expected.
• Knowledge of network technologies, including protocols, design concepts, and access control.
• Knowledge of security technologies including encryption, data protection, security design, and privileged access.
• Understanding of network design and engineering.
