Job Description

For the Apple Recruitment 2026 drive, the IS&T team is looking for a Junior SDET who can build test plans, strategies, and cases for various applications and features. You will collaborate with Development and Business Process Reengineering (BPR) teams to deliver high-quality products. This role specifically looks for candidates who can leverage GenAI models for coding and other tasks. You will be responsible for functional, system, integration, and exploratory testing in an Agile environment.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Test Planning: Building QE test plans, strategies, and cases for any given app or feature.
  • Automation: Performing automation, performance, and code quality testing using tools like Playwright, Selenium WebDriver, Appium, and JMeter.
  • GenAI Integration: Utilizing GenAI models for coding assistance and testing tasks.
  • Collaboration: Collaborating with Dev and Project teams to execute test plans and deliver high-quality products.
  • API Testing: Testing REST APIs and Web Services using tools like Postman and SOAPUI.
  • Reporting: Providing project managers with timely testing status and summarizing results at project conclusion.

Skills and Eligibility Criteria

Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience: 1 to 2 years of combined work experience in Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) or Quality Engineering.

Mandatory Technical Skills:

  • Programming Skills: Experience working with Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
  • Automation Tools: Exposure to Selenium, Playwright, Cucumber-JVM.
  • CI/CD integrations: Knowledge of Jenkins, SonarQube.
  • API testing: Experience with REST, Postman.

Competencies:

  • Exposure to GenAI solutions and AI models (significant plus).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
