Job Description
Apple is hiring a Web Accessibility Engineer in Hyderabad for its 2026 recruitment drive, targeting early-career engineers with 0–2 years of experience. Candidates with a B.E/B.Tech or equivalent practical experience in web accessibility and frontend engineering are encouraged to apply. The role involves evaluating web applications for accessibility, identifying barriers for assistive technology users, and contributing accessible code fixes using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. A major component is testing web experiences with assistive technologies like VoiceOver, JAWS, and NVDA. Roles and Responsibilities
- Accessibility Evaluation: Evaluate web applications for accessibility, identify barriers for users of assistive technologies.
- Code Fixes: Contribute accessible code fixes using modern web technologies.
- Assistive Technology Testing: Test web experiences using assistive technologies such as VoiceOver, JAWS, and NVDA.
- Documentation: Document accessibility findings and provide actionable recommendations.
- Remediation Support: Support remediation efforts using established testing methodologies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with product, design, and engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle to ensure accessibility and inclusive experiences are considered.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in an engineering-related field or equivalent practical experience.
Experience: 0–2 years of experience in web accessibility and frontend engineering.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (foundational knowledge)
- WCAG 2.x guidelines (familiarity)
- WAI-ARIA specifications (familiarity)
- Assistive Technologies (VoiceOver, JAWS, or NVDA experience testing with)
