Job Description

For the Target Recruitment 2026 drive, the Technology Services team is looking for an Apprentice who can learn and work alongside seasoned engineering professionals. You will contribute to designing innovative solutions that fuel Target’s commitment to cutting-edge innovation.

As an Apprentice, you will use your technology acumen to evaluate new technologies and contribute to the lifecycle management of services. You will participate in structured construction, automation, and debugging activities, ensuring that architectural and operational requirements are met.

Roles and Responsibilities

As an Apprentice – Technology at Target, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Solution Design: Learning and working alongside engineers to design innovative retail solutions.
  • Technology Evaluation: Using technical acumen to provide input on new technologies and assist in the design and total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis.
  • Deliverables: Delivering high-performance, scalable, repeatable, and secure deliverables under guidance.
  • Operational Excellence: Participating in automation, debugging, and implementation activities to meet best practices.
  • Troubleshooting: Resolving frequently encountered technical issues and monitoring systems capacity.
  • Innovation: Contributing to Target’s Intellectual Property by developing new retail ideas and algorithms.

Skills and Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for Target Recruitment 2026, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Educational Background: Pursuing or completed an Engineering degree (B.E/B.Tech) in:
    • Computer Science (CS)
    • Information Technology (IT)
    • Circuit Branches (ECE, EEE, etc.)
  • Academic Record: CGPA or Aggregate as prescribed with no active backlogs.
  • Mandatory Traits:
    • Passion for learning new tools & technologies.
    • Team player mindset with a “can-do” attitude.
    • Ability to follow through with ideas and deliver on commitments.
