Job Description
For the Empower Recruitment 2026 drive, the company is seeking an Associate Engineer with foundational knowledge of automation skills. The role involves designing, executing, and maintaining automated tests while working closely with senior engineers and developers.
Responsibilities
- Designing and developing low-medium complexity automated test scripts.
- Executing automated test cases and reporting results clearly.
- Identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects using JIRA.
- Collaborating with the development team to understand testing requirements.
- Maintaining and updating existing basic automated test scripts.
- Performing manual testing when automation is not feasible.
- Partnering with senior engineers to resolve issues and learn best practices.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Experience: 0–2 years of testing experience or equivalent automation quality training.
- Programming: Familiarity with Java programming language (Core concepts).
- Automation Tools: Basic knowledge of Selenium, Karate, JUnit, or TestNG.
- Testing Knowledge: Understanding of API & UI functional testing and SQL database testing.
- Tools: Exposure to Test Management tools (ZE) and Version Control (Git) is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
