Job Description
For the BT Recruitment 2026 drive, the team is looking for an Associate Engineer (Network Technician 3) who assists in the delivery of hardware, configuration, and fiber connectivity of interdependent scaling projects. You will work across several client locations and manage orders to meet agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). The role involves extensive stakeholder consultation, including Associate Network Planners and Technical Delivery Managers. You will be accountable for implementing planning rules at the device/network level and managing Global build deployments.
Responsibilities
As an Associate Engineer at BT Group, your key responsibilities will include:
- Capacity Management: Analysis, production, and management of platform-specific capacity plans to meet forecast demand.
- Stakeholder Consultation: Consulting with Associate Network Planners and Technical Delivery Managers to align on project goals.
- Build & Configuration: Involving in the build and configuration of network components working from detailed design documentation.
- Order Management: Managing orders to meet agreed KPIs such as Agreed RFS dates and Right First Time measures.
- Vendor Management: Managing Vendors/Suppliers and Field engineering teams on the delivery of global build deployments.
- Documentation: Updating the master Global POP Information Database (GPID) after every deployment.
- Continuous Improvement (CI): Identifying opportunities for CI by taking ownership and driving solutions to successful implementation.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for BT Recruitment 2026, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Background: B.E / B.Tech in a relevant field.
- Experience: Freshers are eligible.
- Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Good knowledge of networks/infrastructure and related network management products.
- Knowledge of Global Network Suppliers: Cisco, Juniper, Ericsson, Ciena, Huawei, Nortel.
- Strong understanding of BT’s Global networks and technologies.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication skills and project management capabilities.
- Process Knowledge: Experience of a process-driven work-flow environment.
