For the recruitment drive, the company is seeking a Test Engineer responsible for software testing of next-generation Telematics platforms. You will develop and maintain test cases/scripts and drive the test strategy for the platform. This role involves both Manual and Automated testing according to automotive standards (A-SPICE). You will work with complex systems involving eCall, Power Modes, and Cyber Security modules.
Roles and Responsibilities
As an Associate Engineer – Testing at HARMAN, your key responsibilities will include:
- Test Execution: Performing Manual and Automated Test and Validation according to requirements.
- Documentation: Writing test cases, test scripts, and creating detailed reports for testing procedures.
- Analysis: Analyzing logs and traces using tools like Wireshark.
- Collaboration: Participating in test validation review sessions and project syncs.
- Automation (If applicable): Developing automation frameworks for the Telematics domain using Python.
- Compliance: Acting according to the standards of the automotive industry (A-SPICE).
Skills and Eligibility Criteria for HARMAN Recruitment 2026
- Educational Background: B.E / B.Tech in Computer Science or relevant fields.
- Experience: At least 1+ year of experience as a Test Engineer in the Automotive domain.
- Mandatory Skills:
- Knowledge of White box/Grey box testing.
- Experience with Linux (Virtual Machines, low-medium level).
- Networking knowledge (TCP/IP, NAT, Bridge, P2P).
- Experience with Automotive Sub-Domains: CAN, Diagnostics, Cyber Security, ECU flashing, eCall.
- Bonus Points (Preferred):
- ISTQB Certified.
- Knowledge of Automotive Testing Standards (A-SPICE).
- Scripting experience in Python, C#, or Perl.
Work Model
This role is eligible to work remotely full-time with occasional trips to the Bangalore office required (sometimes on 24-hour notice).
