Job Description
Are you a B.Sc graduate looking for an opportunity to start your career in a laboratory and research environment? Syngene is hiring for the position of Associate Executive in Bangalore. Candidates with a B.Sc qualification and relevant basic knowledge of chemistry can apply for this opportunity. This opportunity is intended for freshers and involves supporting chemistry laboratory operations, maintaining laboratory consumables and chemicals, assisting chemists, reviewing laboratory registers, and supporting routine laboratory activities. The role also requires candidates to understand basic Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) practices and be comfortable working in rotational shifts, including night shifts. Candidates will work closely with chemists and will support laboratory activities during both regular and off-work hours. The position therefore suits graduates who are comfortable working in a structured laboratory environment and following safety procedures carefully.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Laboratory Maintenance: Prepare and timely refill laboratory consumables. Prepare and refill chemicals and inorganic solutions as required. Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
- Laboratory Operations: Monitor chemistry laboratories during off-work hours. Follow laboratory safety procedures and EHS requirements at all times. Assist chemists with routine laboratory activities. Review day-shift and night-shift laboratory registers. Execute assigned tasks based on instructions and register entries. Support chemists with regular laboratory activities. Assist Chemists during hydrogenation reactions.
- Communication & Accountability: Communicate relevant observations or issues to the appropriate team members. Take responsibility for assigned laboratory activities and complete them accurately.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: B.Sc qualification.
Experience: Freshers can apply.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Basic knowledge of chemistry.
- Fundamental understanding and awareness of Environment, Health, and Safety practices.
Competencies:
- Willingness to assist chemists regularly.
- Willingness to work rotational shifts, including night shifts.
