Job Description

For the Urban Company Recruitment 2026 drive, the People Excellence team is looking for a structured and agile professional. You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end employee lifecycle for full-time and temporary staff, ensuring seamless processes and compliance with SOPs.

This role focuses on Process Efficiency, Audit Readiness, and Data Transparency. You will work closely with the People Operations and People Success teams to drive execution across key HR initiatives.

Roles and Responsibilities

As an Associate in the People Excellence team, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Lifecycle Management: Overseeing onboarding, rehiring, leave management, background verification, and exits.
  • Compliance & SOPs: Ensuring compliance with established SOPs and monitoring processes to meet defined SLAs.
  • Project Management: Program managing key HR projects to align with organizational objectives.
  • Data & Reporting: Managing HR data requests, preparing dashboards, and analyzing reports to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Audit Management: Managing internal and statutory audits to ensure accuracy and timely completion.
  • Stakeholder Management: Responding to requests from internal stakeholders, vendors, and auditors.

At Urban Company, you will partner directly with leaders on high-impact projects, gaining exposure to business-critical decision-making. Key leaders include:

  • Neha Mathur: Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) – Ex. Uber, GE, TISS.

Skills and Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for Urban Company Recruitment 2026, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Experience: Hands-on experience in HR Data Management, HR Operations, or HR Audits.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Google Suite and Advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.).
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Soft Skills: Highly organized with the agility to navigate ambiguous situations. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Project Delivery: Proven experience in managing end-to-end delivery of HR projects.
