Job Description

Aptiv is seeking an Associate Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain embedded software solutions for automotive applications. The role requires leveraging expertise in Embedded Systems and Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS), implementing automotive communication protocols, and integrating software modules with microcontroller architectures. You will work within established standards like AUTOSAR and ASPICE to ensure seamless operation within vehicle systems.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Embedded Development: Design and develop embedded software solutions leveraging RTOS and microcontroller architectures.
  • Protocol Implementation: Implement automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, etc.) to ensure seamless system operation.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with automotive standards such as ASPICE and AUTOSAR throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Testing & Debugging: Lead testing efforts using tools like Vector CANalyzer and CANoe to analyze protocols and verify behavior.
  • Requirements Management: Manage software requirements using tools like DOORS to ensure traceability.
  • Collaboration: Utilize version control systems (Git) and collaboration platforms (JIRA, Gerrit) to facilitate teamwork.

Skills and Eligibility Criteria

Educational Background: B.E / B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, or related fields.

Experience: 0-2 years of relevant experience in Embedded Software Development.

Mandatory Technical Skills:

  • Strong expertise in Embedded C and RTOS
  • Knowledge of Automotive Protocols (CAN, LIN, SPI, I2C)
  • Familiarity with Microcontroller Architectures
  • Experience with Vector Tools (CANalyzer, CANoe)
  • Familiarity with DOORS for requirements management
  • Proficiency in Git, JIRA, and Gerrit

Competencies:

  • Understanding of AUTOSAR and ASPICE standards (Highly preferred)
