Job Description
Finastra, a global leader in financial software and cloud solutions, has opened applications for its 2026 engineering recruitment cycle. The company is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Associate Software Engineer to join its development center in Pune. This role is tailored for C++ developers with 1 to 2 years of experience who want to design, develop, and maintain high-performance financial systems.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Software Design & Architecture: Actively participating in initial design sprints and architecture scoping meetings to transform functional user requests into precise technical blueprints.
- High-Quality Coding: Writing clean, maintainable, secure, and execution-efficient C++ source code following Finastra’s internal development compliance frameworks.
- Testing & Debugging: Thoroughly isolating, testing, analyzing, and fixing complex runtime or functional software vulnerabilities.
- SDLC Adherence: Synchronizing tasks meticulously with standard software development lifecycle (SDLC) models and iterative release methodologies.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partnering smoothly with product managers, QA specialists, and deployment teams to streamline software version releases and resolve runtime exceptions quickly.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Must possess a completed Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree.
Experience: 1–2 years of professional hands-on experience in C++ development, covering system design, programming syntax, and algorithmic layouts.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Deep understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) architectures, Standard Template Library (STL) elements, and memory management optimization.
- Strong instinct for data structures, with a proven ability to evaluate user requirements and build robust, high-performance solutions independently.
- Daily familiarity with Git workflow architectures or equivalent source code version management environments.
Competencies:
- Solid verbal and written English communication skills.
- Demonstrable ability to manage shifting project priorities while working collectively within hybrid development environments.
- Prior experience or exposure within the Payments, Core Banking, or broader Fintech / Financial software industries will be considered an added advantage.
