Job Description
For the NielsenIQ Recruitment 2026 drive, the team is seeking a brilliant Performance Engineer to execute performance tests, analyze critical data, and proactively troubleshoot performance issues for NIQ applications. You will work with multi-tier cloud-hosted systems, utilizing industry-standard Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools. The ideal candidate will possess a strong willingness to learn, adapt to new AI technologies, and continuously improve the efficiency of complex web and API architectures.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Test Planning & Execution: Assist in gathering performance requirements, develop basic testing scenarios, and execute performance test scripts for web (HTML/HTTP) and API applications.
- Bottleneck Identification: Support the identification and resolution of performance bottlenecks in multi-tier, cloud-hosted systems.
- Application Monitoring: Utilize APM tools (e.g., Datadog, Dynatrace, or AppDynamics) to track and significantly improve application performance.
- Log Analysis: Use log analysis tools to assist with detailed performance diagnostics and root cause analysis.
- Reporting & Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional team members to troubleshoot issues, provide recommendations, and prepare comprehensive performance reports that summarize results and insights.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
Experience: 1 to 3 years of proven experience in performance testing.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Strong familiarity with performance testing concepts and tools like JMeter and LoadRunner.
- Basic knowledge of Cloud platforms, Kubernetes, Containers, and Linux systems.
- Basic understanding of multi-tier application architecture.
- Willingness to learn and utilize performance monitoring tools (Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Datadog).
