Job Description

For the Ericsson Recruitment 2026 drive, the company is seeking an Automation Engineer who can develop and program automation systems to improve productivity and achieve cost savings. The role involves the entire software development lifecycle, from creating customer solutions to ensuring delivered software components meet agreed business requirements.

In this role, you will diagnose and repair bugs in production code, contribute to High-Level/Low-Level Design (HLD/LLD) specifications, and coordinate requirements gathering. You will provide automation implementation leadership across all project phases.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and programming automation systems.
  • Keeping updated with the latest automation technology to improve operational productivity.
  • Diagnosing and repairing bugs within the production code.
  • Contributing to the creation of HLD/LLD specifications and relevant documentation.
  • Coordinating requirements gathering and ensuring use cases portray business needs.
  • Participating in project planning and providing automation implementation leadership.
  • Ensuring delivered software components perform according to overall requirements.

Skills and Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or higher in ECE, IT, CS, or MCA.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 to 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Core Technical Skills: Proficiency in Core Java, Data Structures, Algorithms, and OOPs concepts.
  • Design Skills: Strong knowledge of Design Principles, Containers, and Threading.
  • Architecture: Familiarity with RESTful APIs and Microservices architecture.
  • Mandatory: Coding related to Java and design principles is mandatory.
  • Good to Have: Knowledge of JavaScript.
