Job Description
The OTM Techno-Functional Consultant role combines business-process understanding with enterprise technology implementation. The selected candidates will learn Oracle Transportation Management and support projects involving supply chain and logistics processes. The term techno-functional refers to a role that sits between business and technology. Candidates are expected to understand business requirements while also developing enough technical knowledge to help configure, test, integrate and support enterprise applications. This makes the opportunity particularly relevant for engineering and management graduates who are interested in consulting, enterprise applications, supply chain technology or ERP careers.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Learning: Learn Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) functionality, business processes and best practices.
- Requirement Gathering: Assist with requirement gathering and analysis.
- Solution Design: Support solution design and configuration activities.
- Testing & Deployment: Participate in testing and deployment activities.
- Production Support: Support production issues, incident resolution and enhancement requests.
- Documentation: Prepare functional specifications and technical documentation. Create user guides and other project documentation.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with business users, technical teams and project stakeholders.
- Integration: Participate in system integration activities.
- Data Validation: Perform data validation and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Continuous Learning: Continue learning Oracle Cloud and Supply Chain technologies.
- AI Tools: Use AI tools to improve productivity in documentation, analysis, testing and solution development.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline. Alternatively, an MBA with a focus on Operations, Supply Chain, Systems or Business Analytics.
Experience: 2025 or 2026 graduates or recent graduates with a good academic record.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Basic knowledge of SQL, databases or programming concepts.
- Understanding of Supply Chain, Logistics, ERP or business processes.
- Exposure to Oracle Cloud, ERP or enterprise applications.
- Knowledge of APIs, XML, JSON or integration concepts.
- Practical exposure to Generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini or Claude.
- Basic understanding of prompt engineering.
Competencies:
- Strong analytical, logical reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to learn enterprise applications and supply chain business processes.
