Job Description

Birlasoft Off Campus Drive 2026 is hiring for the position of Trainee in Hyderabad, Telangana. The opportunity is open to freshers and experienced candidates with a B.E/B.Tech degree. The role combines frontend and web application development with Java/J2EE knowledge. Candidates should have strong skills in JavaScript, React.js, HTML5, CSS3 and React.js workflows such as Redux or Flux. The selected candidate will work on web-based applications, follow software development lifecycle practices, create design documents, perform coding and testing, and ensure that solutions comply with defined specifications.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Web Application Development: Design, develop and implement web-based Java applications to support business requirements.
  • User Interface Development: Develop interactive user interfaces using JavaScript and React.js; Use React.js workflows such as Redux or Flux where required; Build web interfaces using HTML5 and CSS3.
  • SDLC Adherence: Follow approved software development lifecycle methodologies.
  • Documentation: Create software and technical design documents.
  • Coding & Testing: Perform program coding and testing.
  • Specification Compliance: Ensure application designs comply with technical specifications.
  • Requirements Implementation: Develop solutions according to business and functional requirements.
  • Java/J2EE Application: Apply Java/J2EE knowledge during application development.

Skills and Eligibility Criteria

Educational Background: B.E/B.Tech degree

Experience: Freshers / Experienced candidates. Strong foundation in web development and comfortable working with JavaScript and React.js.

Mandatory Technical Skills:

  • JavaScript (Strong proficiency, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model)
  • React.js (Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles)
  • HTML5 (Experience developing web interfaces using modern HTML standards)
  • CSS3 (Knowledge of styling and responsive web interface development)
  • Redux/Flux (Experience with popular React.js state-management and application workflows)
  • Java/J2EE (Strong knowledge of Java and J2EE for web-based application development)
  • Software Development (Understanding of application design, coding and testing)
  • Documentation (Ability to create design documents and work according to specifications)

Competencies:

  • Understanding JavaScript fundamentals (DOM, objects, functions, event handling, arrays, asynchronous programming and browser-based application behavior)
  • Understanding React.js components, props, state, hooks, event handling and component-based UI development
  • Understanding why centralized state management is useful in applications with multiple interacting components (basic knowledge of actions, reducers, stores and state updates)
  • Understanding Java programming fundamentals, object-oriented programming, exception handling, collections, database connectivity and basic web application architecture
  • Basic knowledge of unit testing, integration testing and debugging
