Job Description
As a CA Industrial Trainee at Harman Corporate, you will be part of the global Record to Report (R2R) Finance Division. You will gain hands-on exposure to global accounting standards, financial reporting, ledger operations, and international corporate compliance systems. The role focuses on contributing to the accurate and timely financial operations of a global tech company, offering a blend of practical learning and professional development within a flexible work environment.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Month-End Closing: Drafting, preparing, and posting standard and ad-hoc journal ledger entries, covering operational accruals, provisions, reserves, structural reclasses, and financial recharges.
- Reconciliation: Reconciling structural balance sheet accounts using global corporate templates, executing aging analysis, and pinpointing unusual structural balances.
- Data Management: Maintaining master data records, cost centers, and tracking codes inside corporate SAP ERP environments.
- Reporting: Reporting active, validated ledger financials into the dedicated global Harman consolidation system for corporate-level review.
- Compliance: Performing periodic reviews on general ledger control documentation, ensuring adherence to local and international statutory tax and audit guidelines.
- Collaboration: Collaborating with dynamic general ledger teams and regional corporate managers across Harman's international business divisions.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Must be a registered CA Student who has cleared Intermediate exams and is currently a CA Finalist looking to pursue exactly 1 year of mandatory Industrial Training.
Experience: Candidates pursuing 1 year of mandatory Industrial Training.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Foundational accounting principles
- International financial reporting standards (US GAAP, IFRS)
- SAP (prior exposure highly valued)
- MS Office Suite (advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
