Job Description
For the CGI Recruitment 2026 drive, the team is looking for a motivated Apprentice – Automation QA to join the Quality Assurance team. This role offers an excellent learning opportunity to gain hands-on experience in automation testing under the mentorship of experienced QA engineers. You will assist in designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver with Java or Python. The role also involves contributing to continuous integration (CI) processes and maintaining automation frameworks to ensure high-quality software delivery.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Script Development: Assisting in designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver.
- Framework Support: Supporting the maintenance and enhancement of the automation framework.
- Testing Types: Participating in regression, integration, and functional test automation.
- CI/CD: Contributing to continuous integration processes using tools such as Jenkins and Git.
- Defect Management: Collaborating with QA and dev teams to identify, analyze, and document defects.
- Reporting: Preparing test reports and maintaining automation execution logs.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: B.E / B.Tech / B.Sc / BCA / MCA in Computer Science or related fields.
Experience: Freshers looking for an Apprenticeship opportunity.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in programming languages: Java or Python.
- Knowledge of Selenium WebDriver and automation concepts.
