Job Description
CGI Recruitment 2026 is hiring for a Python AI Apprentice position in Hyderabad. The opportunity is aimed at freshers and candidates with up to 1 year of experience who are interested in Python development, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Generative AI, LLM applications and automation. The apprenticeship is designed to provide hands-on experience in Python application development, AI and Machine Learning solutions, AI agents, cloud-based AI services, API development and enterprise AI projects. Candidates will work with experienced developers, data scientists and business stakeholders while building practical skills in modern AI technologies. The apprenticeship program has a duration of 6–12 months and is suitable for candidates who want to build a career at the intersection of software engineering and artificial intelligence.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Python Application Development: Develop and maintain Python-based applications and automation scripts.
- AI/ML Solutions: Assist in building AI and Machine Learning solutions using modern frameworks; Work with structured and unstructured datasets for analysis and model training.
- Generative AI/LLM Applications: Support the development of Generative AI and Large Language Model applications.
- API Development: Create APIs and integrations for AI-enabled solutions.
- Testing & Optimization: Participate in testing, debugging and optimization of Python applications.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with senior developers, data scientists and business stakeholders.
- Documentation: Document code, development processes and technical solutions.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated with developments in AI, Machine Learning and Python technologies.
- Project Contribution: Contribute to enterprise AI and automation projects.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree or final-year qualification in a relevant technical discipline (Computer Science, IT, AI, Data Science, Electronics & Communication and related engineering disciplines).
Experience: Freshers and candidates with up to 1 year of experience.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Python programming (basic to intermediate knowledge)
- Object-Oriented Programming concepts
- Data structures and algorithms (familiarity)
- SQL and databases (basic knowledge)
- Machine Learning fundamentals (exposure)
- REST APIs and web services (understanding)
- Git or version-control systems (knowledge)
Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and collaboration abilities
- Willingness to learn new technologies and work on AI-focused projects
- Familiarity with Generative AI and Large Language Models
- Basic understanding of creating effective prompts for AI systems (Prompt Engineering)
