Job Description
CGI is recruiting for a Software Engineer at its state-of-the-art technology facility in Hyderabad, India. The company is seeking early-career professionals and engineering graduates who have practical or foundational exposure to Empower Configuration, cloud-based project tracking workflows, and agile deployment operations. This role involves configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing Empower applications in alignment with defined business workflows, and active participation in cross-functional engineering pods.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Application Maintenance: Configure, maintain, support, and optimize Empower applications in alignment with defined business workflows.
- Agile Collaboration: Participate actively in cross-functional engineering pods, ensuring transparency in task completion, code versions, and release updates.
- Workflow Management: Build out clear workflow designs, optimize defect logging matrices, and resolve operational or application faults systematically.
- Product Productivity: Drive process efficiencies using automated workflows, helping to accelerate client delivery pipelines and scale platform features.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: B.E / B.Tech / Computer Science or related degree.
Experience: 0 to 2 Years / Freshers with relevant skills.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Hands-on experience or solid concept understanding in Empower Configuration architectures.
- Proficiency in utilizing tools like Azure DevOps (ADO) and Jira for daily tasks tracking, iteration planning, and multi-team collaboration.
- Well-versed in navigating within an Agile delivery environment.
- Strong comprehension of sprint mechanics, backlog updates, and standups.
- Conceptual or foundational knowledge of test automation processes to ensure seamless feature verification cycles.
- Solid understanding of defect logging, managing application workflows, and maintaining complete traceability across work items.
Competencies:
- Exceptional adaptability, proactive troubleshooting capabilities, and clean communication habits to coordinate smoothly with distributed testing and development groups.
