Job Description
CGI Recruitment 2026 is hiring for the position of System Engineer – Data Analyst in Bangalore, Karnataka. The role is part of the Cyber Security category and focuses on data analysis, business intelligence, reporting and visualization. The position is suitable for professionals with relevant experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Reporting or Data Visualization. Candidates should have strong skills in Power BI, Python and SQL, along with practical experience in data cleansing, transformation, validation, ETL and data modeling. The selected candidate will work with data from multiple sources to develop dashboards, identify trends and patterns, automate reporting processes and generate actionable insights for business stakeholders. Exposure to ESG, sustainability metrics, regulatory reporting and cloud-based data platforms is preferred.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Dashboard & Report Development: Develop, maintain and enhance interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
- Data Management: Extract, cleanse, transform and validate data from multiple sources, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across reporting solutions.
- Data Analysis: Perform data analysis using Python and SQL, identifying trends, patterns and business opportunities from datasets.
- Data Modeling & KPIs: Design and implement data models, KPIs and performance metrics.
- Automation: Automate recurring reports and analytical processes.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics requirements, and translate business requirements into analytical solutions.
- Quality & Troubleshooting: Conduct data quality assessments and troubleshoot reporting and data-related issues.
- Presentation: Present analytical findings through dashboards, visualizations and data storytelling.
- ESG Support: Support ESG-related reporting and visualization initiatives when required.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
Experience: Relevant experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Reporting or Data Visualization.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in dashboard development, DAX, Power Query and data modeling (Power BI).
- Hands-on experience with Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib and Seaborn (Python).
- Working knowledge of SQL for data extraction, manipulation and analysis.
- Ability to identify trends, patterns, anomalies and business opportunities (Data Analysis).
- Experience with data extraction, transformation and validation processes (ETL).
- Ability to prepare and validate datasets from multiple sources (Data Cleansing).
- Ability to design models that support business reporting and KPIs (Data Modeling).
- Ability to communicate analytical findings through clear visualizations (Data Visualization).
