Are you an experienced supply chain professional interested in combining business analytics, artificial intelligence, inventory management, and automation? Cisco is hiring for a Business Analyst role within its global inventory management team. The position is based in Bengaluru and is listed as a hybrid opportunity. This opportunity is suitable for candidates with 1–4 years of experience in supply chain management, particularly those who have worked in technology-driven or high-tech environments. The role focuses on using AI, advanced analytics, predictive models, automation, Excel, Python, Power BI, Tableau, and data mining to improve supply chain and inventory processes. The successful candidate will help identify operational risks, develop data-driven recommendations, track supply chain KPIs, and communicate insights to senior management. The Business Analyst will be part of Cisco's global inventory management team, supporting the management of partner inventory and Cisco hub inventory. The role combines supply chain knowledge with analytics and technology, analyzing inventory data, identifying operational risks, tracking key performance indicators, and providing management with actionable insights. Artificial intelligence is a major component, leveraging AI and advanced analytics to identify potential supply chain disruptions and support predictive decision-making, as well as identifying opportunities for AI/ML and automation to streamline supply chain workflows.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Process Improvement: Use AI and advanced analytics to improve supply chain processes.
- Risk Management: Apply analytical techniques to identify and manage supply chain risks. Support predictive models designed to anticipate potential disruptions. Help develop contingency plans based on analytical findings.
- Efficiency & Automation: Identify opportunities to improve supply chain efficiency through automation. Support the integration of AI and machine learning into supply chain processes. Lead or contribute to initiatives that digitize and streamline inventory workflows.
- Reporting & Insights: Define key performance indicators for inventory management. Track supply chain and inventory KPIs on an ongoing basis. Prepare reports and updates for management. Analyze inventory performance and identify trends or anomalies. Communicate insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Data Analysis: Work with large and complex datasets to support supply chain decisions. Develop scenario analyses and simulations where appropriate.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in a global environment. Support data-driven improvements to inventory planning and supply chain operations.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: 1–4 years of experience in supply chain management. Industry: Experience in high-tech and AI-driven industries is preferred.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Python knowledge is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with Power BI and Tableau is preferred.
- Strong ability to extract insights from complex datasets (Data Mining).
- Ability to work with models, scenarios, and simulations at a detailed level (Analytics).
Competencies:
- Strong understanding of inventory management and supply chain processes (Supply Chain).
- Experience with AI/ML tools and platforms for supply chain optimization is an advantage (AI/ML).
