Job Description
As a Software Engineer Trainee (Technical Graduate Apprentice) at Cisco, you will be immersed in a high-impact engineering environment for a specialized 12-month program. You will gain hands-on experience with modern programming languages and development methodologies, deploying software upgrades to massive SaaS environments and understanding complex change management procedures. This apprenticeship is designed to help you master deployment processes and develop automation tools used by operations teams to solve complex, real-world tasks, with potential involvement in AI, networking, and cybersecurity challenges.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Software Development: Learn and apply the latest software development methodologies and languages.
- Deployment: Assist in deploying new software and critical upgrades to a large-scale SaaS environment.
- Change Management: Understand and implement change management procedures and deployment processes.
- Automation: Develop automation tools to simplify and streamline complex operational tasks.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with senior engineers on AI, networking, and cybersecurity challenges.
- Exposure: Gain exposure to network traffic optimization using machine learning.
