Job Description
For the Citigroup Recruitment 2026 drive, the team is seeking a highly motivated Junior Java/Angular Developer. This role acts as an Applications Development Programmer Analyst, an intermediate-level position responsible for systems analysis and programming activities. The ideal candidate will have foundational experience in Java and Angular development, coupled with an understanding of cloud platforms and CI/CD practices. Uniquely, this role also requires an interest in and experience with Generative/Agentic AI to enhance application functionalities.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Full Stack Development: Develop, test, and deploy robust applications using Java and Angular frameworks.
- Cloud Integration: Assist in the integration of cloud-based services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and ensure optimization.
- GenAI Implementation: Explore and apply Generative AI concepts to enhance development processes.
- Database Management: Work with Oracle or MongoDB to design and manage data models.
- CI/CD: Contribute to the continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Analysis: Identify and analyze issues, make recommendations, and implement solutions for system enhancements.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.
Experience: 0-2 years of relevant experience in programming/debugging.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
- Experience with Angular (2+), HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience with Gen/Agentic AI.
- Familiarity with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools.
- Experience with Oracle or MongoDB, including design and querying.
