Job Description
Cognizant Recruitment 2026 is hiring experienced candidates for the Test Analyst position in Bangalore. The role focuses on firmware and WiFi testing, test strategy, automation, network switch testing and quality engineering. The selected candidate will work with firmware, hardware, cloud, mobile app and product teams to validate WiFi features and ensure quality across multiple product releases. This position is particularly relevant for experienced professionals with backgrounds in embedded testing, wireless testing, Python automation, networking and quality assurance.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Test Strategy Ownership: Define and own the overall test strategy for firmware and WiFi features.
- Technical Leadership: Lead and mentor embedded and test engineers by providing technical guidance and reviews.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with firmware, hardware, cloud, mobile app and product teams.
- Test Management: Drive test planning, estimation, risk analysis and defect triage for multiple product releases.
- Quality Assurance: Define quality objectives and ensure testing activities are aligned with product requirements.
- Testing Execution: Plan and execute functional testing, perform integration testing, conduct regression testing, and perform system-level testing.
- WiFi Validation: Validate WiFi device models including WiFi 5, WiFi 6 and WiFi 7, and perform network switch testing and configurations to validate WiFi features and network-related functionality.
- Automation Driving: Drive test automation using Python and work with test automation frameworks.
- CI Integration: Integrate automation into CI pipelines.
- Tool Usage: Use and guide the team on debugging tools and analyzers, including Wireshark for network analysis and troubleshooting.
- Environment Management: Work with WiFi testing chambers.
- Quality Metrics: Define and track quality metrics such as defect leakage, pass rate, product stability, quality KPIs, and defect tracking and triage.
