Job Description
For the Cohesity Recruitment 2026 drive, the team is looking for a skilled Quality Engineer passionate about testing cloud solutions. You will work on NetBackup and features like Cyber Resiliency. The role requires an intuitive understanding of the hardware/software stack limits and the diligence to reason about software architecture. You will implement multiple iterations of test plans, running both manual and automated test cases. This position is highly visible and impactful, potentially defining strategic directions for Cohesity’s hyper-converged appliance.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Feature Testing: Working on multiple releases of NetBackup and features like cyber resiliency.
- Automation: Automating test cases and providing innovative ideas to improve the product.
- Defect Management: Identifying, documenting, and tracking bugs to resolution using tools like JIRA.
- Root Cause Analysis: Analyzing failures, filing defects, and following up with developers for resolution.
- Disaster Recovery: Testing backup integrity, restore workflows, and disaster recovery scenarios.
- Collaboration: Collaborating closely with developers, DevOps, and technical writers to ensure high-quality delivery.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: B.E / B.Tech / M.Tech in Computer Science or related fields.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Good knowledge of Linux and comfort with Shell Scripting.
- Prior experience in programming, preferably in Go or Python.
- Understanding of QA methodologies and processes.
- Validated experience in Data Protection, OS, Filesystem, Cloud, or SaaS.
- Understanding of cyber threats such as ransomware, malware, and insider attacks.
- Ability to simulate failures like service crashes, network outages, and corrupted data.
