Job Description
Collins Aerospace is hiring for the position of Associate Engineer – Data Analytics in Bangalore. Candidates with a B.E/B.Tech qualification in engineering disciplines such as Mechanical, Industrial, Production, Aerospace, Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or related fields can apply. The role is suitable for fresh graduates and candidates with up to 2 years of relevant experience. The position focuses on data analytics, business intelligence, dashboard development, reporting automation, operational data analysis, and process improvement within an aerospace manufacturing environment. Candidates should have knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, along with exposure to data analytics, data visualization, Microsoft tools, or Tableau. Basic knowledge of SQL and Python, Power BI, AI tools, and dashboard development can provide an additional advantage.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Data Management: Collect, validate, standardize, and maintain operational and quality data across business systems.
- BI Development: Develop automated dashboards and KPI reports for leadership and business reviews.
- Data Analysis: Analyze trends across quality, manufacturing, supplier, and operational metrics to identify meaningful trends and translate them into actionable insights.
- Process Improvement: Support Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and process improvement initiatives.
- Collaboration: Work with Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Program teams, requiring strong communication and teamwork skills.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering such as Mechanical, Industrial, Production, Aerospace, Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related discipline.
Experience: Fresh graduate or up to 2 years of relevant industry experience.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Basic understanding of data analytics and data visualization concepts.
- Exposure to Microsoft tools and/or Tableau through academic projects, internships, certifications, or professional experience.
- Familiarity with AI tools and interest in applying them to engineering and business processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Competencies:
- Willingness to learn, collaborate, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Internship or project experience involving data analytics, business intelligence, or process improvement.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and Python for data analysis.
- Experience creating dashboards, KPIs, and automated reports.
- Exposure to manufacturing, engineering, or operations data.
- Certifications in Power BI, Tableau, AI, Data Analytics, or Microsoft technologies.
