Job Description
Cornerstone is hiring for the position of Junior Engineer in Pune. This opportunity is suitable for fresh graduates interested in Quality Engineering, Software Testing, Test Automation, and Artificial Intelligence. Candidates should have a strong understanding of AI fundamentals, programming, web technologies, OOPS, and software testing concepts. As a Junior QA Engineer – Automation, the selected candidate will receive training in product functionality, automation tools, and testing methodologies, working with QA Leads and Software Development Engineers in Test (SDETs) during real-time testing cycles and automation activities. The role involves both manual and automated testing activities.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Testing Activities: Work with the Quality Engineering team on manual and automated test cases.
- Test Automation: Learn and contribute to test automation frameworks using Selenium, Robot Framework, Cypress, or similar tools.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand product features and requirements.
- Test Cycle Participation: Participate in test planning and test execution activities.
- Defect Management: Log and track software defects.
- Regression Testing: Participate in regression testing.
- Efficiency Improvement: Contribute to automation efforts and improve testing efficiency.
- AI Application: Apply AI concepts to develop smarter and more efficient automation strategies.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science or Information Technology. MCA or MCS candidates are also eligible.
Experience: Freshers
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Artificial Intelligence fundamentals and concepts
- Good understanding of web technologies including JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Familiarity with Object-Oriented Programming concepts, preferably using Java
- Understanding of Data Structures and OOPS concepts
- Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language such as Java, C++, or .NET
- Basic knowledge of API testing and web services
- Exposure to automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Robot Framework, Cypress, Appium will be relevant
Competencies:
- Strong academic background with exposure to AI technologies and programming
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to learn Quality Engineering and Test Automation
