Job Description
Cornerstone is seeking passionate and enthusiastic fresh graduates to join its Quality Engineering team as a Junior Engineer. This role involves participation in both manual and automated testing activities, with training provided in product functionality, automation tools, and testing methodologies. The position offers exposure to AI concepts for developing smarter and more efficient automation strategies, making it ideal for candidates interested in Quality Engineering and Test Automation.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Testing Activities: Work with the Quality Engineering team on manual and automated test cases, participate in test planning and test execution activities, and log and track software defects.
- Automation & Improvement: Learn and contribute to test automation frameworks using tools like Selenium, Robot Framework, Cypress, or similar, and contribute to automation efforts to improve testing efficiency.
- AI Application: Apply AI concepts to develop smarter and more efficient automation strategies.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand product features and requirements.
- Regression Testing: Participate in regression testing.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science or Information Technology; MCA or MCS candidates are also eligible.
Experience: Freshers
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Strong academic background with exposure to AI technologies and programming
- Strong knowledge of Artificial Intelligence fundamentals and concepts
- Good understanding of web technologies including JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Familiarity with Object-Oriented Programming concepts, preferably using Java
- Understanding of Data Structures and OOPS concepts
- Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language such as Java, C++, or .NET
- Basic knowledge of API testing and web services
Competencies:
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to learn Quality Engineering and Test Automation
