Job Description
As an Associate Software Engineer at CUBE, you will be part of the Content Engineering department, responsible for developing and supporting scalable applications across both frontend and backend systems. Your primary technical focus will be building and enhancing backend services and APIs using Node.js, while ensuring the highest code quality by writing unit tests using Jest. You will be expected to troubleshoot performance issues and ensure the reliability of our AI-powered platforms. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced engineering environment, following strict coding standards and version control practices. This role is perfect for a junior developer who has a passion for learning and the ability to adapt quickly. From participating in code reviews to optimizing performance, you will play a key role in delivering software that reshapes how financial institutions navigate the complex world of global compliance.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Application Development: Develop and maintain scalable applications across the full stack.
- Backend Engineering: Build and enhance robust backend services and RESTful APIs using Node.js.
- Quality Assurance: Write and maintain unit tests using Jest to ensure code quality.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality SaaS solutions.
- Performance & Reliability: Troubleshoot technical issues and perform performance optimization for reliability.
- Best Practices: Adhere to coding standards and version control (Git) best practices.
- Code Review: Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated on modern web technologies and AI research patterns.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
Experience: Freshers / Junior Engineer
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Basic hands-on experience with Node.js and API development.
- Familiarity with modern frameworks like React or Angular.
- Experience in writing unit tests using Jest.
- Good understanding of Git and GitHub workflows.
Competencies:
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and teamwork abilities.
- (Good to Have) Experience with Playwright/Puppeteer, CI/CD, or Agile practices.
