Job Description
The team is looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer to perform standard security engineering duties. You will gain familiarity with cybersecurity concepts, practices, and methodologies under guidance. The role involves hands-on work with firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and anti-virus software. You will also be responsible for network scanning to identify vulnerabilities and coordinating security audits.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Deployment: Assisting with the deployment of firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and anti-virus software.
- Administration: Assisting with or performing security tool administration and updates.
- Vulnerability Management: Performing network scanning to identify vulnerabilities and recommending upgrades.
- Incident Response: Investigating security incidents, breaches, and threats.
- Audit & Compliance: Coordinating security audits and evaluating security products.
- Learning: Proactively keeping up to date with security technologies, trends, and best practices.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Background: BA / BS degree (Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field preferred).
- Experience: 0-2 years of relevant experience (Freshers with strong concepts can apply).
- Mandatory Skills:
- Familiarity with Cybersecurity concepts and methodologies.
- Basic understanding of Firewalls and IDS/IPS.
- Knowledge of Network Scanning tools.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills and the ability to work on special projects as assigned.
