Job Description
For the Fujitsu Off Campus Drive 2026, the team is looking for a Data & AI Apprentice to work on real-world projects involving data engineering, analytics, and Generative AI (GenAI). You will learn new tools, follow strict coding standards, and deliver assigned tasks within agile teams. The ideal candidate will have a problem-solving mindset and a strong grasp of Python data structures, SQL queries, and basic ML libraries. You will be actively involved in writing SQL queries to extract data, cleaning datasets using Pandas, and supporting simple Proof of Concepts (POCs) for AI chatbots and classification models.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Data Work: Write robust SQL queries to extract, join, and validate data. Perform data cleaning and preparation using Python (Pandas, NumPy).
- AI/GenAI Support: Support small tasks in AI/ML or GenAI use cases, including prompt testing, dataset preparation, and building simple POCs like chatbot flows and document Q&A.
- Engineering Discipline: Use Git/GitHub for version control, write clean code with basic unit checks, and follow coding standards.
- Team Collaboration: Work with seniors in Agile environments (daily updates, task boards, sprint work) and communicate progress clearly.
- Documentation: Create simple technical notes, user guides, and document learning results clearly.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree (B.E. / B.Tech / MCA). Preferred streams include Computer Science, IT, AI, or Data Science.
Experience: 0 to 1 year (Freshers can apply).
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Python: Good hands-on experience with functions, loops, files, dictionaries, and debugging.

- Data Handling: Familiarity with Pandas, NumPy, data cleaning, and relational database concepts.
- Exposure to AI/ML or GenAI (LLMs, NLP) through projects or internships.
- Basics of ML libraries (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) or GenAI frameworks (Hugging Face, LangChain).
- Basic cloud awareness (Azure Data Factory, Databricks, AWS) and REST API/JSON understanding.
- Participation in Hackathons, Kaggle, or active GitHub projects.
Competencies:
- Good problem-solving mindset, eager to learn, and able to work from the office following timelines.
