Job Description
For the S & P Global Recruitment 2026 drive, the team is looking for a Data Quality Specialist to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data. You will act as the "last point of check," auditing data related to investment firms and funds globally. This role involves analyzing complex datasets, identifying errors made by researchers, and providing mentorship to correct these mistakes. You will work with the MI (Market Intelligence) Data teams to enhance guidelines and ensure client satisfaction.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Data Auditing: Ensuring accuracy and consistency of data through audits, adhering to quality standards for all workflows.
- Analysis: Analyzing, questioning, and manipulating data according to defined business rules.
- Root Cause Analysis: Determining root causes for data quality errors and assessing business impact.
- Process Improvement: Developing process improvements and executing data cleanup measures.
- Collaboration: Working with the data research team to train and correct quality errors.
- Research: Conducting web research to extract information from government sources or firm websites.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance or Commerce (B.Com/M.Com/MBA).
Experience: Freshers / Experienced
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with Excel and SQL.
- Experience in conducting web research for financial data.
Competencies:
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate with clients via phone/email.
- Knowledge of Capital Markets and Investment Management Firms.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to think outside the box.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts (including night shifts).
