Job Description

Oracle Corporation has announced its 2026 talent acquisition drive, opening registrations for the position of Data Systems Software Engineer II. This role is tailored for engineering graduates who want to build a career in enterprise healthcare data architectures, clinical information systems, and database engineering. Selected engineers will work directly with Oracle Health (formerly Cerner) frameworks, developing critical application data pipelines, optimization engines, and system interfaces. The role is based permanently out of Oracle’s high-tech corporate campus in Bangalore, India.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Enhancement Coding: Implementing, writing, and testing backend code improvements inside an established, complex enterprise software architecture
  • System Integration Management: Developing and supporting secure data system interfaces utilizing Oracle Cerner FSI layers to connect clinical database systems with external environments smoothly
  • Debugging & Diagnostics: Investigating software system errors, tracing complex backend application behaviors, performing root cause data analysis, and deploying reliable fixes
  • Design Adherence: Collaborating closely with senior systems architects to write software modules that conform perfectly to specified engineering guidelines and organizational criteria
  • Data Reporting Pipeline Build: Writing custom diagnostic and reporting queries leveraging Cerner Command Language (CCL) to extract analytical layers efficiently

Skills and Eligibility Criteria

Educational Background: Must have successfully completed a full-time B.E / B.Tech graduation course from a recognized technical board or university

Mandatory Technical Skills:

  • Hands-on familiarity or explicit training in relational databases using SQL and query optimization paradigms
  • Foundational knowledge or direct eagerness to work extensively with Cerner Command Language (CCL) and Cerner Foreign Systems Interface (FSI) architectures
  • Basic understanding of how disparate system endpoints exchange structural datasets, protocols, and interface components

Competencies:

  • Strong structural analytical logic, technical troubleshooting skills, and the capacity to identify customer operational bottlenecks to propose scalable database answers
