Job Description
The team is looking for a Field Service Engineer 1 who will apply technical expertise, peer collaboration, diagnosis tools, and analytical practices to resolve complex customer issues. You will be taking care of customer IT operations by delivering outstanding on-site break-fix and proactive support. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring enterprise storage environments, such as PowerMAX and Unity, remain highly available and secure. This involves planning services, performing code upgrades, and maintaining a high level of technical competency regarding Dell's expanding service offerings.
Roles and Responsibilities
- On-Site Support: Drive timely onsite services, focusing on critical break-fix support and proactive maintenance for assigned accounts.
- Issue Resolution: Seek swift resolution and drive the closure of complex enterprise hardware and software issues.
- Upgrades: Perform critical code and firmware upgrades across various Dell Technologies products.
- Service Planning: Plan and lead comprehensive service strategies for assigned client accounts.
- Continuous Learning: Keep abreast of emerging technologies, new Dell EMC product lines, and evolving service offerings.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree (B.E or B.Tech).
Experience: 1 to 3 years of relevant field working experience as a Customer Engineer or Field Engineer providing break-fix support.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Strong working knowledge of DELL Technologies storage products, including PowerMAX, Symmetrix, Unity, Isilon, ECS, and DD .
- Relevant Dell EMC product certification at the Professional Specialist Level.
- Industry certifications from Linux, Windows, VMware, or Networking domains.
Competencies:
- Strong analytical diagnosis capabilities, peer collaboration, and client communication skills.
