Job Description
Deloitte is hiring for the position of Associate Analyst – Automation Testing in Bangalore, targeting fresh graduates and early-career professionals. This role is part of Deloitte's Quality Engineering team and involves designing, executing, and maintaining automated test solutions for web and API applications. The selected candidate will collaborate with developers and QA engineers to ensure software quality through various testing methodologies.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Automation Testing: Design, execute, and maintain automated test solutions for web and API applications.
- Testing Methodologies: Perform functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing.
- Defect Management: Handle defect management and test documentation.
- Agile Participation: Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: B.E/B.Tech qualification
Experience: 0–2 years of experience; fresh graduates and early-career professionals can apply.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Basic understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Knowledge of automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver
- Basic programming knowledge in Java or Python
- Understanding of API testing using Postman or REST Assured
- Familiarity with Git or other version-control systems
- Knowledge of SQL and database concepts
Competencies:
- Exposure to TestNG, JUnit, or BDD frameworks such as Cucumber
- Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts (e.g., Jenkins)
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to learn new technologies and work effectively in a collaborative environment
- Internship or academic project experience in automation testing
