Job Description
As a Digital Signal Processing Intern, you will actively contribute to embedded software development for automotive amplifier applications following a structured software life cycle (V-model/Agile). This fixed-term 9-month internship is open to Bachelor’s or Master’s degree holders in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, or related fields with expertise in C/C++, RTOS, and embedded software systems at HARMAN Automotive's engineering center in Bangalore, Karnataka.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Software Development: Design, implement, and test embedded software components for audio amplifier applications using C/C++ and scripting languages.
- Troubleshooting & Optimization: Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize code utilizing development tools such as compilers, debuggers, emulators, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure strict compliance with MISRA guidelines and perform unit-level as well as system-level verification testing.
- Code Review: Participate actively in peer code reviews to maintain high software quality and safety standards.
- RTOS Experience: Gain hands-on experience working with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded operating environments.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to reproduce software defects and implement effective solutions.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Bachelor’s (B.E / B.Tech) or Master’s (M.E / M.Tech) degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
Experience: Freshers / Students. Fixed-term availability for a 9-month internship based in Bangalore.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Strong core programming knowledge in C/C++.
- Exposure to scripting languages such as Python or Perl.
- Familiarity with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) and embedded OS concepts.
- Hands-on proficiency with hardware testing instruments including oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
- Good understanding of software quality compliance and MISRA coding standards.
Competencies:
- Knowledge of Agile or V-model project life cycles (preferred).
- Soft Skills: Strong diagnostic and creative problem-solving skills.
- High attention to technical detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
