Job Description
DigitalXNode Recruitment 2026 is hiring for the position of Fresher Software Engineer in Gurugram, Haryana. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity for recent graduates who want to begin their careers in software development. The role is designed for fresh graduates with a strong understanding of programming fundamentals, object-oriented programming, data structures, software development lifecycle and modern software engineering practices. The selected candidates will work alongside experienced developers and gain practical exposure to backend development, web technologies, APIs, databases, cloud fundamentals and Agile development.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Software Development: Develop, test and maintain software applications under the guidance of senior developers; write clean, efficient and maintainable code; follow coding standards and software engineering best practices; assist in developing backend services, web applications and APIs; support feature development and software enhancements; assist with application maintenance activities.
- Collaboration & Process: Participate in debugging and troubleshooting software defects; work closely with software engineers, QA teams, business analysts and project managers; participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups and retrospectives; assist with code reviews and implement feedback from senior team members.
- Technical & Documentation: Communicate project progress and technical challenges; perform unit testing and support integration testing activities; help improve application performance, reliability and scalability; follow secure coding practices and software engineering standards; prepare technical documentation, code comments and implementation notes; support software deployment and release activities.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Fresh graduates with a relevant technical degree, including B.Tech / BE in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Electronics or related disciplines; BCA; B.Sc in Computer Science or Information Technology. MCA, M.Tech, M.Sc in Computer Science or IT are preferred.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Java: Knowledge of Java programming and object-oriented development.
- C++: Understanding of C++ programming fundamentals.
- Python: Ability to develop programs and scripts using Python.
- C#: Familiarity with C# programming.
- JavaScript: Basic knowledge for web development.
- OOP: Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
- Data Structures & Algorithms: Knowledge of core DSA concepts and problem-solving techniques.
- REST APIs: Basic understanding of API-based application communication.
- SQL: Knowledge of relational databases and SQL fundamentals.
- Git/GitHub: Familiarity with version control and collaborative development workflows.
