Job Description
DigitalXNode is hiring a Fresher Software Engineer in Gurugram for a full-time, on-site role. This opportunity is for recent graduates with a strong foundation in programming fundamentals, OOP, data structures, SDLC, and modern software engineering practices. Candidates will work alongside experienced developers, gaining practical exposure to backend development, web technologies, APIs, databases, cloud fundamentals, and Agile development. Knowledge of Java, C++, Python, C#, JavaScript, SQL, REST APIs, and Git is preferred, with additional experience in Spring Boot, .NET, Node.js, React, Angular, Vue.js, or cloud platforms being a plus.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Software Development: Develop, test and maintain software applications under the guidance of senior developers.
- Code Quality: Write clean, efficient and maintainable code. Follow coding standards and software engineering best practices.
- Backend/Web Development: Assist in developing backend services, web applications and APIs.
- Debugging: Participate in debugging and troubleshooting software defects.
- Feature Development: Support feature development and software enhancements.
- Maintenance: Assist with application maintenance activities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with software engineers, QA teams, business analysts and project managers.
- Agile Participation: Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups and retrospectives.
- Code Review: Assist with code reviews and implement feedback from senior team members.
- Communication: Communicate project progress and technical challenges.
- Testing: Perform unit testing and support integration testing activities.
- Performance Improvement: Help improve application performance, reliability and scalability.
- Security: Follow secure coding practices and software engineering standards.
- Documentation: Prepare technical documentation, code comments and implementation notes.
- Deployment: Support software deployment and release activities.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: B.Tech / BE in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Electronics or related disciplines. BCA, B.Sc in Computer Science or Information Technology. MCA, M.Tech, M.Sc in Computer Science or IT (Preferred).
Experience: Freshers (Entry Level).
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Programming: Knowledge of Java, C++, Python, C# programming fundamentals.
- JavaScript: Basic knowledge for web development.
- OOP: Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
- Data Structures & Algorithms: Knowledge of core DSA concepts and problem-solving techniques.
- REST APIs: Basic understanding of API-based application communication.
- SQL: Knowledge of relational databases and SQL fundamentals.
- Git/GitHub: Familiarity with version control and collaborative development workflows.
